Reconstruction of the roof truss and the ceiling of the roof-beams on the Bishop Palace in Vukodol – Mostar – II phase (continuation orehabilitation)

On 05.05.2016 „Stari grad“ Agency launched a procedure of pulbic procurement through competitive request-for-quotations (RFQ) for the procurement of works „Reconstruction of the roof truss and the ceiling of the roof-beams of the Bishop Palace in Vukodol – Mostar – II phase (continuation of rehabilitation).

After the selection of the most advantageous tenderer („Bisina“ civil construction company), a contract was signed with it on 22.06.2016 for work on „Reconstruction of the roof truss and the ceiling of the roof-beams of the Bishop Palace in Vukodol – Mostar – II phase (continuation of rehabilitation). The value of the implemented works amounts 15,792.66 convertible marks (with Value Added Tax included in the price). The pertinent works have been supervised by („Arhi Plus“, Mostar) in the amount of 675.00 convertible marks (without Value Added Tax included in the price). The funds were provided from the budget of the city of Mostar for 2016.

The following works were carried out:

Preliminary work

-          Removal of old damaged wooden beams, ceiling and roof;

-          Cleaning of the entire structure of the waste and rubble;

-          Cleaning and transport of the self-sown vegetation, weed and brushwood around the structure.

Carpenter's work

-          Procurement and installation of beams built into masonry construction into stone walls;

-          Fabrication of the floor (framing) scheme consisting of wooden oak beams.

Joinery work

-          Fabrication of double-sash window with tilt&turn hardware with oak wood fanlight.

Stone dressing work

-          Disassembly of the entire stone frames around the windows, plus disassembly of the iron bars within window grates;

-          Fabrication of the broken elements having sediment origin with drilled in beds for iron bars within window grates.

Blacksmith works

-          Fabrication of wrought iron window grates.

Other works

-          Filling up the holes in the stone walls after setting of the floor scheme up;

-          Other necessary building with stone in lime mortar;

-          Delivery and assembly of the scaffolding.

On 23.11.2016 contractor „Bisina“ construction company notified „Stari grad“ Agency about the completion of the works on the project Reconstruction of the roof truss and ceiling of the roof-beams of Bishop Palace in Vukodol – Mostar – II phase (continuation of rehabilitation). On 24.11.2016 a decision on establishment of the Committee for inspection of the performed works was made, in whose composition the representatives of investors, supervision and contractors took part. On 29.11.2016. the Committee for inspection of the performed works established that the works were performed in accordance with the scope of works and the contracted terms, and all of that was in compliance with the project and in compliance with valid technical regulations, obligatory standards and obligations which stem from the decision of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina to designate architectural ensembles – Old Bishop residence in Vukodol (Bishop Palace in Vukodol), city of Mostar and the Act on Physical Planning and Land Use at the level of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2/06, 72/07, 32/08, 40/10 and 13/10, so the works were accepted on the part of the investor.
