Vehicle movement and parking is carried out 24 hours throughout the entire year. A special problem present the vehicles during touristic season, when a huge number of tourists is sightseeing the Old Bridge and the old city nucleus. Dripping of oil, fat, naphtha, petrol out of the vehicles impacts very aggressively the cobblestone and the cobblestone binder, and the infrastructure of the old city part. Parked vehicles constitute a big problem for a high-quality maintenance of cleanliness in the old nucleus. On several occasions engagement of police forces was attempted, but even that system did not yield fruit. Agency "Stari grad" set down to prepare a project of hydraulic stop installation.
Assembly of the hydraulic stops was carried out at three (3) spots (map of the positions of the hydraulic stops), namely:

Entry into the old city part on the right side, one piece (by the «Rose» hotel)
Entry into the old city part on the right side, one piece (from Onescuk Street)
Entry into the old city part on the right side, one piece (by Nezir-aga's mosque)

Funds for hydraulic stops were provided by the city of Mostar.
Works which were carried out amounted to 49.906.,35 KM.
Works lasted from 6th October 2008. to 1st December 2008 godine, and the hydraulic stops were set into operation in the early May 2009.
